Quickcoat Terms of Service · R. J. ENTERPRISES

These terms govern your use of the Quickcoat mobile app ("Quickcoat," "the app"), a free painting-estimate tool published by R. J. ENTERPRISES ("we," "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. What Quickcoat is

Quickcoat helps painting contractors produce quick, square-foot-based price estimates and share them as PDFs. It is a calculator and convenience tool. It is provided free of charge, and we may add, change, or remove features over time.

Important — estimates are your own. The numbers Quickcoat produces are ballpark figures based on the rates and options you enter. They are not an appraisal, a guarantee of cost, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for the prices, bids, quotes, and contracts you provide to your own customers, and for verifying that they are accurate and profitable for your business. We are not a party to any agreement between you and your customers.

2. Your responsibilities

Use the app lawfully and only for legitimate business estimating.
Provide accurate rates and inputs; review every estimate before you rely on it or send it to a customer.
Keep your own backups of important data. Quickcoat stores your customers and estimates only on your device; use Settings → Export my data to save a copy.
Make sure any information you enter about other people (such as your customers) is something you're entitled to use.

3. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how the app handles data. In short: your customers and estimates stay on your device, and the analytics we collect are anonymous and optional.

4. Free app and the Topcoat upgrade

Quickcoat is free. The app contains information about and links to Topcoat, our separate paid product. Topcoat is governed by its own terms, which you'll see if you choose to sign up for it. Nothing here obligates you to purchase anything.

5. Intellectual property

The app, its name, design, and content are owned by us and our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the app for your business. The estimates and PDFs you create from your own data are yours to use with your customers.

6. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its calculations will meet your needs. App-store providers (Apple and Google) are not responsible for the app or these terms.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, R. J. ENTERPRISES will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, lost business, or underpriced jobs, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app — even if we've been advised of the possibility. Because the app is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to fifty U.S. dollars ($50).

8. Indemnification

You agree to hold R. J. ENTERPRISES harmless from claims arising out of your use of the app, your estimates, or your dealings with your customers.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; if we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above, and continued use means you accept the changes. We may modify or discontinue the app at any time. You may stop using the app and delete it at any time.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
